Billy Davenport’s FIFTY-TWO AND BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

May 25 – 28, 2022

To our friends and family,

As you may remember, Isabell and I were very much looking forward to being with you in 2020 for my 50th birthday at Rancho Las Cruces.
With most pandemic hysteria now behind us, things seem to be returning to normal, and as we were before, we’re going to Las Cruces, and we’re having a party!

Come join us!

-Billy

The General Plan

Arrive, party, recover, depart…

More specifically: arrive the 25th; we’ll have a fiesta on the 26th, relax on the 27th, and depart the morning of the 28th.

For those who wish to say longer, Isabell and I intend to arrive on the 22nd and stay through the 29th, and you’re more than welcome to hang out for as long as you wish.

Activities

There is quite a bit to do at the ranch: fishing, skeet shooting, hiking, tennis, watersports, horseback riding, hanging at the beach, pool, etc. The agenda is basic: hang out, do whatever you want, and enjoy each other’s company.

Accommodations

Rancho Las Cruces is a 10,000 acre private ranch with seven miles of private coastline, located on the Cortez side of Baja California, approximately 20 miles northeast of La Paz.

The main club can accommodate approximately 50 guests, with the entire club capable of accommodating approximately 80. To make sure there’s room for everyone, we’ve reserved the entire club.

Las Cruces has been incredibly gracious and has afforded us a great rate. From the 25th – 28th, Isabell and I will be taking care of all your meals—and all your adult beverages on the 26th. Beyond that, it’s $190 per person, per day (all taxes and service fees included).

For reservations, contact Isabel Del Toro, or Jesus Nieto at 858-764-4122, or reserve here online.

If you’re planning on staying longer than the 25th – 28th, the club is happy to accommodate you; and you can make arrangements directly with them.

RSVP

Whatever your situation, we understand. If you can make it, we’re ecstatic. If you can’t make it, we get it; and we love you anyway. The only thing we ask is that you RSVP and make your reservations prior to January 31st, 2022. This will afford us time to work with the club and ensure everyone is accounted for and well taken care of.

Commercial Flights

For those leaving from Southern California, commercial flights into La Paz can be made from Tijuana. Fights are offered by Volaris Airlines. If you’ve never flown from Tijuana, it is very convenient. You park your car in the United States; you enter the terminal in the United States; and you cross the border inside the airport!

The best flight is the direct connection, which takes only 1h 50m. Volaris currently offers two direct flights between Tijuana and Lap Paz; the first departing at 6:21 AM, and the second departing at 9:11 AM.

Once you arrive in La Paz, we will provide you private ground transportation to Las Cruces. The drive from La Paz to Las Cruces is enjoyable, and it takes about 50 minutes.

As an alternative, you can fly into Cabo San Lucas. Fights are available to Cabo from just about anywhere. From Cabo San Lucas, both private air charter, and private ground transportation are available. The charter flight is about 25 minutes, and the drive is 3 hours and 50 minutes. Las Cruces is happy to help you arrange private transportation from, and back to Cabo.

Recommendation: book your flights ASAP. As of 12/1, the round trip from Tijuana to Lap Paz is under $150.

General Aviation

For those who intend to fly your own aircraft, the ranch has a 2,700 x 60 foot hard pack dirt strip, which is well-maintained. Identifier: CLS (24°12’35.90″N; 110° 5’1.06″W).

The ranch’s history is steeped in general aviation, and if you love to fly, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more special fly-in destination.

For aircraft with minimums >2,700 feet, you can simply fly into La Paz, and we’ll arrange to have you picked up and driven to Las Cruces.

Boat

For anyone interested in arriving by sea, Lac Cruces offers Catalina type mooring (weather permitting).

Children

For those of you who would like to share Las Cruces with your kids, your children over the age of 13 are welcome.
