We proudly announce, “Rancho Las Cruces: The Place – The People – The Flavors”, a new book by members Lynn and Carolee Pomeroy.

Rancho Las Cruces : The Place, The People, The Flavors is a new 320 page cookbook that contains 165 recipes of the food and drinks served daily at the resort, including our favorite Mexican dishes. In addition to the recipes, there are 26 framed features that enrich the journey by providing stories related to Las Cruces, and information about ingredients used in the recipes. More than 200 scenic and historical photographs are combined with 150 colorful photographs of food and drinks to provide a visual panorama of the memorable narrative that describes the people and the culinary riches of Las Cruces. The intent of the book is to provide our membership with recipes for the food we enjoy at Las Cruces and to provide financial support for the agricultural improvements at the resort.

Members Lynn and Carolee Pomeroy have devoted hundreds of hours and their own money to the realization of this project, they spent entire days at the Rancho Las Cruces kitchen, working with the kitchen staff, and observing the processes for the preparation of each one of the recipes in this book, to gain the proper knowledge and understanding to write and review each one of them, plus many additional hours photographing the dishes and drinks, to illustrate this book. However, that was not enough for them, and showing their love to Rancho Las Cruces, they are donating 100% of the revenues generated by this book to the construction of a new greenhouse and the re-establishment of the old orchards, where most of the fruits and vegetables to be used at the Rancho Las Cruces kitchen will be grown.
