National Geographic Baja Land and Sea Photo Retreat – Rancho Las Cruces
The Baja Mexico Land and Sea Photo Retreat offers a rare chance to explore an eco-playground of pure wildness with some of the world’s best shooters—National Geographic photographers. Spend three nights at Rancho Las Cruces exclusive resort, a playground for the Hollywood elite and reserved exclusively for us. Then explore the Sea of Cortez and putting your new photography skills to the test.
Spend an afternoon with a National Geographic photographer or an image-editing specialist getting pro tips, or take a kayak for a paddle along a peaceful shoreline. Non-photographers or those with only a passing interest will find tremendous opportunities at Rancho Las Cruces: hillside hikes with naturalists, snorkeling off the beach, and even seeing the former private homes of Hollywood elite like Bing Crosby and Desi Arnaz.
Every day is active and engaging.
You’ll be able to hike every day through forests of towering cacti and up striking desert canyons. You’ll take expedition landing crafts along the shore to see and shoot photos of plunge-diving pelicans and blue-footed boobies, and each day you’ll have the option to walk or kayak, and to join a different naturalist as you choose: there are no assigned groups. See more of what you’ll do.
Travel in excellent company
At the resort, you’ll explore with, and learn, from National Geographic photographers and editing specialists from B&H Photo/Video. At sea, you’ll explore under the sure guidance of an expedition leader, five veteran naturalists, including a Lindblad-National Geographic certified photo instructor and an undersea specialist, plus a wellness specialist. Their knowledge and passion for Baja California is the key to your once-in-a-lifetime experience.
